Bigger Tax Burden: Undocumented or Incorporated?

I’m no big fan of illegal immigrants.  And it’s an argument that I’ve never heard a convincing argument in favor of.  Well, at least until now.  Damn you Cenk Uyghur!

I’ve heard all the good ones:

Against Illegals

-Illegal Immigrants take jobs away from U.S. citizens!

-Illegal Immigrants come to America to get medical care they can’t afford!

-Illegal Immigrants come to America to abuse our welfare system!

-Illegal Immigrants don’t pay taxes!

For Illegals

-Illegal immigrants take the jobs no one else wants.

-American’s can’t afford American medical care, either!

-They only get welfare because we make laws prohibiting them from getting jobs, like making employers e-verify immigration statuses.

-Everyone pays taxes, even illegal immigrants.

And we’re going to look at that last one the most.  Because just like all of the points for each side, they all have a bit of truth to them.

Yes Illegal Immigrants take jobs away from U.S. Citizens.  And they’re not all the crappiest jobs in the world like migrant farmers and landscapers, either.  They forge fake social security numbers and get half-decent jobs, too.  But no where near the amount of good jobs that Legal Immigrants take.

Nobody can afford the American Medical system, and I’ve personally seen far more natural-born U.S. citizens abusing the welfare system than illegal immigrants.  As a matter of fact I don’t know of a single illegal who doesn’t come up here specifically for a job.  Now yes, their children go to school, the fire department will show up at their house if there’s a fire, and the ambulance will drive them to the hospital if they’re in a car accident.  But those aren’t welfare, those are civil services…and I hardly ever hear the anti-illegals talking about that; rather they always call it welfare.

And finally…taxes.  It’s true…Illegal Immigrants don’t pay income taxes on the $2 an hour they are paid under the table.  Of course I know a few folks who charge their clients under the table and don’t pay taxes on $1,000 a day work, either.  Which is more: 15% of $20, or 30% of $1,000?

That being said…the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy has come up with some numbers about the taxes paid by Illegal Immigrants.  First off…everyone who purchases goods pays Sales Tax; regardless of immigration status.  Secondly, if you own a home you will pay property taxes…some places even have renter taxes to pay (and if you rent, your rent goes to pay your landlord’s property taxes, too).  And if they do use a forged social security number to get a real job…then they do pay income taxes.  They also FICA taxes for Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid, that they’ll never be able to utilize.

In the end the Institute estimates that Illegal Immigrants in the U.S. pay roughly $11.2 Billion in taxes a year.

That doesn’t seem like much, sure, but take this into account: That’s probably still between 10 and 15 percent of their incomes, if not more.  And that’s hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people to arrive at that $11.2 Billion.

But General Electric made 14.2 Billion in net profits (that’s income minus expenses to equal profits) and paid 0 in taxes in 2010.  As a matter of fact, they received $3.2 Billion from the government refunds from tax credits and subsidies.

Now my reason for being anti-Illegal Immigrants is simple: Illegal is Illegal.  They’re breaking the law, so they should punished…punished by being found and sent back to wherever they came from.  I believe that border guards should treat border-jumpers as invading insurgents and fire upon them, to be totally honest.

But not because they take jobs, or use services, or anything else like that.  For the same reason that if you try to break into my house, I’m going to shoot you: Because it’s illegal and your invading my property.

But thanks to the numbers I just quoted, I think we have something to concern ourselves about before we hunt down all the border jumpers and illegals.  Everyone talks about ‘boots on the ground’ at the border, well this needs to stop.  Leave the border undefended if we have to!  We need these soldiers, armed to the teeth, in the boardrooms of GE, Verizon, Boeing, and Con-Ed.

The executives of these companies will be paid whatever the equivalent of the lowest-paid full-time worker for each company is.  If they pay themselves bonuses, they will be shot on the spot, and the military will enforce tax payment.  No deductions, no credits, nothing.

Once we get the oligarchy dismantled, then we can start chasing the Illegals out of the country.  Honestly I’m surprised they still want to come here, I certainly don’t want to be here, myself anymore.

Bitchido’s Videos: The Rant, Hilary Rosen’s Comments On Ann Romney

Recently Democratic strategist and CNN contributor, Hilary Rosen, made a few choice comments about Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann.

Hilary Rosen with her best 'are you kidding me?' face.

“What you have is Mitt Romney running around the country saying, ‘Well, you know my wife tells me that what women really care about are economic issues and when I listen to my wife that’s what I’m hearing.’ Guess what? His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school and why do we worry about their future.”

Needless to say the Republicans jumped on the attack claiming that Rosen was attacking stay-at-home mothers and fathers.  Something that Rosen was, herself, which makes it totally ridiculous.  Then you add in the way she was forced to begrudgingly apologize to Ann Romney by Wolf Blitzer, just for stating a fact.

So today we’ve got a new episode of The Rant.  I hogged the mic a bit on this one, I guess, ’cause its mostly me talking.  Speaking of mic, though, I tried a new trick with this video to make it easier to hear the dialogue.  I recorded the video with the camera and the audio with my old mic.  It’s still a little hard to hear, so next time I’ll set up the mic a little closer.

Now before you watch the video keep something in mind…I usually disagree with Hilary Rosen.  She’s a lobbyist and she’s part of the reason that politics are so screwed up.  She lobbies for the entertainment industry, so she’s probably helping to get things like SOPA, PIPA, and that new version CISPA passed.  But that doesn’t mean that her words should be twisted when she’s totally correct.
